As part of BGRS’s commitment to creating a culture of belonging, respect, and inclusivity, we are proud to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month!
June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month throughout a number of countries across the globe. Pride is a celebration of identity, as well as a recognition of the determination of those championing equal human rights for the LGBTQ+ community. During Pride Month, we recognize the people who are advocating to live authentically and support welcoming environments in our local communities.
At BGRS, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are integral to our identity and we are empowered by a core set of values. We celebrate and embrace diversity in all its forms, finding ways to be connected and inclusive. Our goal is to create a diverse workplace with a culture of belonging – engaging employees to realize their full potential and encouraging them to bring their authentic selves to work.
We have continued to expand our approach to DEI initiatives in the workplace using three key pillars. These pillars include:
- Education – we encourage open minds, open hearts, and honest opportunities to discuss and learn
- Talent – we integrate DEI into our programs, practices, and people, including a multitude of training opportunities for employees
- Identity – we embed DEI into who we are as an organization
“Pride Month is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the diversity and contributions from the LGBQT+ communities,” stated Nancy Brickwood, Senior Vice President, Human Resources. “We are proud to be striving to be an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and respected. This includes understanding of minority groups who have struggled for decades to be accepted for who they are. We are grateful for the differences that every employee brings to BGRS. And we will continue our learning journey.
