BGRS Helping the World’s Youth Overcome Barriers

June 13, 2018

BGRS believes in the power of giving back. We value the positive impact of employees in the communities where they live and work.

In March 2018, BGRS shared a new framework for our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and charitable partnerships, focusing on helping the world’s youth reach new horizons. Under this shared purpose, our team of more than 1,500 global employees has been volunteering, fundraising and supporting causes with an array of organizations that assure the personal achievement of children through programs that help them overcome barriers to success.

Among our offices in the APAC region, BGRS employees have been planning and organizing donation drives to support children’s literacy and preparedness for education. BGRS’s Bangalore office collected school supplies and donated them to Acts of Hope School, which provides free education to children from impoverished areas of India. Our Shanghai office donated supplies and volunteered for an afternoon of creating crafts and singing with Shanghai Guangci, a local children’s welfare home.

In EMEA, BGRS’s London office organized several fundraisers in support of Magic Breakfast, enabling the organization to serve over 1,400 breakfasts (to date) to malnourished children in schools from underdeveloped areas of the United Kingdom. Our Dubai office organized a fundraiser to support Save the Children, a global organization focused on promoting children’s rights and providing relief and support to children in developing counties.

Throughout North America, BGRS’s offices have been organizing various types of events benefitting the future of the world’s youth as well. In the United States, the Burr Ridge office held two different fundraisers in support of Save the Children. The Scottsdale office held three events to date. First, they organized a Scholastic Book Fair to benefit a local elementary school, and donated the purchased books back to the school. They also collected gently used books for donation in support of children’s literacy with Read Better; Be Better. Lastly, they volunteered with Feed My Starving Children to pack meals which would be distributed food to children in El Salvedor. In Canada, BGRS’s Ottawa office ran a month-long clothing drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa whose focus is to help the children of the local community reach their fullest potential.

Every global, regional and local effort in 2018 and beyond is in pursuit of ensuring the world’s children reach their fullest potential and we are proud to share our employee’s contributions so far this year.
