BGRS’s Ekta Kalwani, Intercultural Program Specialist, will be attending the FIGT Virtual Conference on March 12-14, 2021.
During the 2021 Families in Global Transition (FIGT) Annual Conference, Ekta Kalwani will be hosting a poster session. With a renewed focus of equity and inclusion as a result of the Black Lives Matter movement and the global pandemic, the need to bridge and embrace differences is even more critical. Attendees are invited to share experiences gained as a result of encountering difference and participate in concurrent sessions, panel discussions, poster sessions, and more.
Ekta’s session titled, “Embracing and Bridging Differences: A Case Study on Singapore,” will explore how multi-culturalism contributed to the nation’s success and how multinational organizations can look to Singapore as they develop diversity and inclusion campaigns. The discussion will include practical examples of what companies can do to develop the global mindset of their employees and make it part of their organizational DNA.
FIGT is a forum that brings together globally mobile individuals, families, and professionals to share best practices to support growth and well-being of people crossing cultures around the world.
